Challenge

Establishing trust in food innovations by consumers.

Intervention

Integrating technological innovations like QR-code to increase food traceability in the value chain of LOKI and equip consumers with detailed information about food products, thus allowing them to make informed decisions about their plant-based seafood consumption, ultimately leading to value chain transformation towards sustainability. Through implementing organisational innovation, LOKI improves its collaborative approaches by increasing public-private partnerships, licensing and franchising practices and creating an open innovation platform.

Expected Outcome

Increase acceptance/purchase of plant-based seafood.

Expected Impact

Environmental: GHG emissions reduction through increasing consumption of plant-based products, improved supply chain management, food waste reduction by monitoring food handling and biodiversity enrichment.
