Date: 21/10/2025

Time: 9 AM - 5 PM

Location: Milan, Budapest and Wageningen

Sustainable Bites is a one-day hackathon focused on designing digital strategies to improve access to and availability of food sustainability-related information for adults aged 65 and over. Participants will collaborate in teams to tackle pre-defined challenges, aiming to create innovative, inclusive, and user-friendly solutions that empower older generations to make more informed and sustainable food choices in their daily lives.

Sustainable Bites is an activity organised by the OpenDot Foundation as part of the 21 partners in the project and is working on the creation of a digital intervention that will be tested and evaluated in the field, with the support of the other partners.

The event will take place simultaneously in Milan, Budapest, and Wageningen. We can accept up to 15 participants per city.

If you would like to participate in the Milan edition, please register your interest by October 15th by filling out this form.

You can apply individually or as part of a team. If you are part of an existing team (max. 5 people), please indicate the names of your partners in the appropriate section and remind your teammates to fill out the form.

Once you have completed the registration form, you will receive a confirmation with all the information by October 17th.

The event will be held in English (but you can speak your preferred language with your team), and the entire process will be facilitated by the OpenDot team.
