Intervention

EFDN will recruit some of its football clubs to test the below interventions:
1) Providing healthier food options on their match day menus.
2) Distribute booklet/information package to fans on match-days, as well as include dedicated pages in matchday programmes.
3) Fan project: 3-4 weeks of food and cooking lessons inside stadiums.
4) Use of “Healthy football league” app to create sports competitions for healthier food lifestyles.

Expected Impact

Environmental: Promotion of plant-based food options and reduction in meat consumption; reduced packaging.

Social: Awareness raising about healthy food among disadvantaged populations; community cohesion.

Economic: Increasing demand for food products with lower environmental impact; increased willingness to pay for sustainable food products.
