In a half-day academic outreach, the EU-funded CUES project made its first presentation in the heart of China’s most biodiverse province, captivating bachelor students at Yunnan Agricultural University (YAU) with insights into industry-research co-creation. The presentation was given by Kun Han from our partner Wageningen University & Research.

Spotlight on Yunnan & YAU

Founded in 1938 and now a key provincial university, YAU’s 130-hectare lakeside campus in Kunming serves more than 34,000 students and hosts six national or provincial research platforms. Its location, city of eternal spring – Kunming, sits amid China’s richest biological diversity, with over 19,000 plant species that make the region a natural laboratory for sustainable agriculture.
